“World-worthy living” is how we see the responsible handling of natural resources, people and habitats. This includes transparency in materials procurement, environmentally friendly production, and a social and regional commitment.

We have given our wholehearted commitment to this strategic and operative value orientation. Hence it is important to us to make people aware of the value of solid wood furniture, its longevity and its contribution to a healthy indoor climate. Our insistence on value is not by any means based on mere monetary considerations, but rather about how we can deal efficiently with our resources. An example: Is the trunk of a 130-year-old tree completely processed or only partially used because some of it has natural features or knots? Regardless of the fact that natural “flaws” lend each piece of furniture a unique character, acceptance of this living texture would lead to increased output from trees. Nature will thank us for it!

We stand by our convictions. As a result, the first measure from 2013 will see the introduction of a certificate for selected wooden furniture that shows the year the tree was felled. It marks the first of many “vintages” that we are creating for our customers.
